About
Meet Tammy

Tammy Youngerwood brings together a lifelong curiosity for art, technology, education, and the world of baking. She holds a Fine Arts degree from Toronto Metropolitan University and a Master’s degree in Graphic Design from the University of the Arts London. For the past decade, she has run a successful boutique baking business specializing in events, custom creations, and hands-on workshops.
Her journey into 3D printing began in 2020, during COVID, when she opted to buy a 3D printer instead of taking up sourdough. She told her four kids it was for them. Then she promptly started printing things obsessively herself.
What began as a lockdown experiment soon became an integral part of her baking business and workshops, opening up new possibilities for creativity, precision, and problem-solving in the kitchen.
Now, through The Tinkering Baker, Tammy is opening up her kitchen to the world, helping bakers and makers get more out of their 3D printers, experiment with new ideas, and discover how technology can help them become better bakers.
When she’s not baking, designing, teaching, or tinkering with her printer, Tammy is a wife and mom to four awesome kids.
